Thinking about having a trigger job done by Triggerwork.net. Any recent experience with them? I've heard mostly good things about Springfield's work, but occasional issues have popped up.

No. Google will quickly bring up a ton of people who have had issues with him. A trigger isn't an area where I'm personally willing to chance it.

Had him rework a AR-15 trigger group for one of my single stage rigs probably 3 years ago.  Couldn't be more happy with the results.

I had one on a .22 dedicated AR.
It would sometimes release the hammer on let off.
It was smooth though ??.

I wouldn’t trust his work today.  Way too many issues have been voiced including at least one person that posted here, having to go to his home to retrieve their property.

I don’t know if I would trust him, but I know that when you grind surface hardened parts bad things happen.

I’ve only had good luck with his stuff.  Since we are in a Hk forum I’m assuming you’re asking specifically about Hk triggers.  He did one of my old Ati imported mke mp5.  It’s an excellent trigger with a much better pull and almost no take up.  For the money it was worth it and it has been 100% reliable but ymmv.

I had him do my hk91 trigger WAY back in the day (circa 2005) and it came back amazing.  He also did an ar15 and my h&k g36/sl8 trigger, also came out great.

Unfortunately he retired.  Great triggers.  Although I did have one go full auto in a G3 at an indoor range.  That was fun...

There's Kevin at MK3 Firearm that does trigger work for HK.  They're a gunsmith in my town.  I stopped by their shop yesterday and got to play with the single stage + short reset trigger they did on a 308 and 9mm lower, felt clean.

Good vid but what is the pull weight?

He did a HK91 trigger for me. Was supposed to break at 3 1/2. Actual weight of  pull was around 5. It felt smooth and crisp so I just kept it.
Never told him about as I was ok with it.

Sounds about right.  He let me try trigger of both 308 and 9mm lower.   The 9mm lower has a much lighter trigger pull than the 308.

I had him do a couple AR15 triggers and ended up throwing them in the trash some 20 years ago.
He had a terrible reputation back then on the various boards.  Haven't heard his name in years, and that's a good thing.

I have a trigger pack in my parts box that formerly belonged to a local Arfcommer which was destroyed by Bill Springfield. It has a nice, light, smooth trigger break on ‘F’, a heavier trigger break on ‘S’, and for the former owner, a glitchy trigger break if he wiggled the lower housing a certain way. I could not replicate the third failure in my old Portuguese G3S, but it turned both of our rifles into jam-a-matics.

I brought the trigger pack to my gunsmith & he was aghast at how much material was missing from the trigger, sear, and hammer. The trigger return spring was wadded-up & twisted around in order to push the trigger forward, which didn’t work well.

Bill’s solution to my buddy?

“Send in the rest of the trigger housing & parts, I’ll make it work...”

Uhh... Fuck that.

Another no from me. My father sent in a pack and when it came back it would burst/ride the bolt home.

I thought i was just bump firing it from the shoulder but nope, it was a run away. Sent it back and I swear he just put normal parts back in.
