My local LGS came into these via buying an estate.. and I grabbed them. Always wanted an HK93!

Rifles are unfired. HK91 shows just a tiny bit of wear from having an optic mounted on it at one time, but bolt face, chamber are spotless and unmarked. Receiver and shell deflector on HK91 show no marks as well.

HK93 came new unfired with Z24 Hensoldt with lit reticle, a rifle/scope cover(?) (green cover was in original HK box that rifle came in.. in picture), 8 x 40 rnd mags (new unused) and one 20 rnd

HK91 came new unfired with deflector, carry handle, both stocks, 12 x 20 rnd steel mags in rubber carriers, 5 rd mag, mag loader tool, mag unloader tool, sight tool, cleaning kit, with grey wood crate (? never seen this) and original cardboard box.  Has bipod, and muzzle cap as well.

I am not an expect.. I enjoy HK's, but have never delved into the collecting aspect of them. Thoughts on ball park value of these with their accessories (I am curious on how I did.. it wasn't cheap)?

And should I shoot them? I am sorely temped.. but they are pretty mint

Great score! What did you pay for the 93 if you don't mind me asking? I bought my 91 in the salad days and scored all this for $2k. But I really want a 93.

Guns were made to be shot. Even rare kraut space magic guns. I take my 91 with me most range sessions, even if I only run a mag through it.

Wow...what a score. The HK91 has been on my bucket list for over a decade.

It was more than that for sure! Over $4K.. I figured the scope an mags alone worth half that. The unfired HK93 maybe worth another $3500?

Yeah easy. A new unfired HK93A3 would probably bring over $3500 right now if it went up on gunbroker. I keep looking for one every year or so but haven't really checked where the market is at currently.

If you want shooters, buy some licensed made Turks or Pakis, and flip those on Gunbroker.  Thanks for sharing the pics of your good fortune, OP.

Of course you should shoot them.  Unless they are NIB they aren't worth not shooting.

They should definitely be shot.

Not only will it be totally cool but it won't diminish the value much- and you may have underpaid....

I have a PTR and it’s one of my favorite rifles.

Yes shoot them.

OP has far more money than I do.  I'd delight in shooting them, but I couldn't afford the drop in value on such a collectible in NIB, never fired condition.

Always a turd in the punchbowl huh?

They certainly are new in the box. Here's a pic of the original HK boxes with HK shipping labels they came in.

As for "I doubt they never been fired"...

HK93 Bolt, chamber area showing no wear from cycling, no fouling, no brass marks, completely new and unfired. Just like I said.

and Here is the HK91... again, shell deflector without a single brass mark, receiver without any ejected brass marks.. chamber with no fouling, new and pristine.. bolt and carrier.. no wear, no firing marks, no primer marks, no fouling.. brand new.

eta; and as to "unfired"... ALL HK9X series rifles were test fired (3rds IIRC) before leaving the factory.

Thanks! I am sure thats true, however, look at the pics below I just posted... the bolts.. the chambers.. these rifles have not been fired since they were sold as new guns back in the 1970's and 80's

Call me what you want, but those guns aren't NIB.  Just look at the finish.  That's like saying your car is new after it's been keyed.

Claw mounts show a lot of on/off wear.  That means they aren't new in box.  And try and get that deflector off cleanly.

Those pics certainly don't scream unfired to me.  I've had several pre-ban 9x guns that look that clean and have been fired.  The 93 certainly has been fired looking at the bolt head and the edges of the ejection port.  91 also looks to have been fired judging from the the bottom of the ejection port below the case deflector.

With the amount of accessorizing and on/off marks from the claw mounts you are going to have a hard time convincing anyone they are unfired.  Brass deflector too.  Heck, I bet that scope is sighted in.

Its funny how much my post seems to bug you.. to the point of you needing to post snark

If you can look at the bolt head of that HK93 and claim its used/fired.. then any credibility you think you have in this discussion was just completely blown. Anyone with any time behind a roller locked weapon know how absolutely filthy and worn the parts get with even minimal use.

Case in point.. here is the HK91 bolt carrier and bolt, next to a "new" PTR91 that saw 40 rounds so far, to sight in an optic a month ago. The wear on the bolt carrier.. the brass marks on the bolt carrier were it runs forward into the cocking tube from the violent extraction/ejection... the ring/primer wear pattern you see on the bolt face.. brass on the extractor claw... and this is just 40 rounds of firing.

So yeah.. its unfired.

I dont have to convince anyone of anything. They aren't for sale. I came on, and shared some new personal guns. If you dont like it.. keep walking...

Lol, after totally breaking down your gun and posting detail shots of the internals.

Your guns are fired, the PTR carrier has a completely different finish the German.
And yes, I can look at your 93 bolt head and see it's been fired.  There's staining on it.

They haven't been fired much, they are a nice package and have lots of accesories but don't kid yourself the previous owner shot them.

But maybe you could post some borescope pics?  Or how about some pics of the buffers?  IDK maybe some of the internals of your cocking tubes?

Congrats OP. Nice stuff. I have both a HK91 and HK93 that appear to not have been shot. Total cream puffs. And have both .22lr conversion kits for them as well. I'll let the next person enjoy shooting them, I'll just "beet" the hell out of my PTR's. I have heard that staining can come from age and not from shooting...who knows?
It's hard to get the bolt face and chamber that clean after shootin'

NIB means New In Box.   New in Box means not finger f**Ked for 40 years.    What monkey took those scope mounts on and off?

You have too many posts (3K)on this site for this NIB "I want the value " BS.

Feel confident you paid market value for a $8000 buy of nothing special.  Geez.,

Toast Jelly. HKs have a weird gravity to them.  If you need to offload one no need to look far, I’ll drive.

Enough with all the fired or not bullshit.  Nobody can afford to shoot anyway so it’s a moot point.
