Why do you need a bore guide to clean a FAL?  You should be running the rod from the breech/chamber end of the barrel.  Only the M1/M14 require cleaning from the muzzle end due to the design of the receiver.

i use the AR10 guide w/ my SA58 since i try as much as possible not to remove the scope mount that's on it. makes cleaning easier.

I just want to play it safe. I hear you can still harm the bore without a guide???

Could you use just the bolt carrier and run the rod through the hole for the fireing pin ?
It's not big enough for a brush or a patch but the rod it self may fit in that hole and it's in line with the bore.
