Orion 7, makes a stainless steel GI spec spring.  I have a couple of them but am new to the M1.
$7 if I recall correctly.  Tony will also have all the other springs and most other parts, collectible and shooter.

The word is to stay away from extra power springs(Wolffe); SLAMFIRE POTENTIAL.

Good luck.

You don't need an extra power spring. If it was needed then John Garand would of had it there in the first place.

The thing is I'm not sure if it's the extra power spring or regular. I only bought it cause it seemed like a simple replacement for my CMP gun. I still have the original spring and I may throw that back in.

Sure, never use a Wolf Extra Power spring?  I have been using on in my Garand for several years now and have fired a little over 2600 rounds through it with no, I repeat no problems.  Slamfires are caused by high primers, not what spring you are using.  I am sure I will get flamed for that statement, but just because you read in on the internet, repeated by someone else that read it on the internet dose not make it true.
