My son has a M-1a and wants me to get a scope for his rifle for his birthday. He wants one with turret adjustment knobs. I got an ARMS mount for him, but don't know what kind of scope to get him. Any suggestions? I need help!

Hi........

The Leupold Mark 4 3,5-10x40 is a good choice.
There are also the NF optics but they are more expensive than Leupold.

Anyway, what you are going to do with the rifle ? I mean, huntig, shooting at target in a static position.

My son has done all with it. He really enjoys it and his old m-1 in 30.06. Me I have my ar's, hk-91 and an old winchester model 70 in 30.06 which I hunt with. Thanks for the info.

Depending on how much you want to spend, there are other options. Though I have no experience with them, the Tasco SuperSniper scopes seem to have a following here and other places. That's what I intend to mount on my M1A. The regular 10X40 models are $299, and the side-parallax adjustable version is $399. That's the one I intend to get.

Good choice. (I like mine on my m21)

My M1A ate a Simmons AETEC (3.5x 14) Then it devoured a 2.5 x 10 IOR. Currently (~9 months) it is wearing a Super Sniper 10X with rear focus. So far so good. Fixed power is holding up
