How long did it take for SEI to build that beauty?  I'm thinking about sending in a parts kit.  And if you don't mine, how much did they charge you?

Restless--It only took them 3 days including test firing.  I dropped it off last Monday afternoon and got a call from him Wednesday evening to say it was ready.  What they charged me was based on me buying a USGI barrel from them but their rates are very reasonable.  Call them at 480 964-1818 and ask for Bill.  He does great work and will take care of you.

DPMMN--Thank you Sir.  Back at you!

You have mentioned a TRP bolt on more than one occassion.  I suggested to others that you meant TRW...but now I'm not so certain...

Just what do you mean?

TIA

You guys I think just pushed me over the edge! I have been collecting TRW parts for a while now so I think I will have Lou build me two consecutively numbered  rifles for my collection.

I don't share the love affair with SEI. They assembled my LRB, installed a dremeled stripper clip guide(I sent them a NIW), scratched my receiver while installing the bolt stop pin, cold blued it and it rusted, and to say that they are reasonably priced is stretching it as well....I posted pics over at the index for the naysayers.

Sorry to hear about your problems Rick.  What was SEI's reponse to your complaints and how much did they charge to assemble your LRB?

It's been a couple of years but it was around $550. That was a base build. No repark or anything. They first argued with me and said that it was my guide and my parts were not new blah blah blah....basically a denial thing. The rusting did not show up for a while. I noticed the scratch and noted it was touched up but did not think much of it at the time. I sent a pic to Lou at LRB and he said that it was rusted because whoever built it scratched it and did a cold blue touch up and failed to neutralize it afterwards. I called SEI and they said to send it back and IF it was there fault they would fix it. I did not like Bills' if so I contacted LRB and sent my receiver to their parkerizer to get it redone. I did not like the attitude I received so I opted to go out of pocket. Lou's guy did a nice job.

The pictures are probably still over at the index in the slop chute.
