After years of many full-caliber guns ranging from milsurps to FAL/CETME/G3, harboring an irrational fear of adding 30.06 to the growing collection, noting that my only American made guns are 2 ARs and a Rem22 match gun, and feeling a bit guilty about missing this fine piece of history, I finally bought one Sat. Big Jim Balogh had one that just spoke to me........... great new wood, like-new parts with a fresh black oxide finish, and a new Wilson .308 bbl with the proper bullet feed mod. He does fine work, so no worries on the rebuild. And I keep my caliber count down to 14 LOL.
It lives upstairs, where I can keep looking at it, and feels Very Right.
Bought a combo tool and new sling, working on care and service reading materials, setting aside the crates of Aussie just for it.
