Where did you buy?
Can I ask what you paid?
It looks sweet
Is that a standard 10.5" upper?

Bought it straight from the manufacturer Ten X Ammunition. They were clearencing out a few of them; it would be worth giving them a call to check if they still have some.
It’s a standard 10.5” PSA upper; just added a 7075 drop in picatinny rail.

Very nice.

Does the BATFE consider this a SBS once mounted to an AR w/ stock?

I only ask as I'm in Washington state and can do AOW's (I already own a SERBU type) but can't do SBS.

Thanks in advance.

It’s still an AOW even when mounted to the rifle.

The ATF approved the original design for use on a rifle. They later advised them to add the pistol grip to keep the AOW status. These were never reclassified.

Here is an ATF letter stating an AOW shotgun mounted to a rifle still remains an AOW.

Which only serves to further confuse me. I want to believe.

Me too. The only reason I haven't gone this route yet...

I have considered this as well, but everything I had found said it was an SBS. As others have said, "I want to believe..."

That letter is addressed to Mr. Jack not a blanket letter to the manufacturer of said AOW in this thread. So he is good to go with his letter in hand. I want to believe too but will hold out for more info.

If I follow this thread correctly - it would not be controversial to add the non-gripped AOW version to a "pistol" since a pistol does not have a stock.

A "braced" AR would seemingly be A-OK?  and where does one find the AOW non-gripped version?

In my opinion - it would have been ideal if they made a version that allows an "AR" grip that could be removed if desired or picking a grip of ones choice.
