I’m looking at picking up an STG 77, but are they compatible with MSAR magazines? New to the whole bulpup scene and someone local is selling “Steyr AUG” mags for a good price, but how can I tell them apart from MSAR mags? Thanks for the help!

Yes.  You will need to removed a small amount of plastic from one of the side  re-enforcing ribs on the STG Mags.
