So pretty much everything I've seen on converting .223 to 300BO goes; cutting, debur (some seem to skip this but seems like it would scratch up your resizing die), forming, then trim/chamfer/debur. But I watched a video of a guy that resized first, then cut to size, expanded/decapped and this makes a lot of sense. Any downside to this method other than I would trim/chamfer/debur at the end?

No downsides at all. All that matters that in the end you have a good piece of brass.
I make brass on a 1050. Deprime, swage primer crimp, trim and form case, done. All in one pass. At some point, if I feel like it, I will anneal it or maybe do a final trim/chamfer/deburr on a henderson trimmer. |

I always cut first, debur, anneal and size.
My theory is, there is less brass you have to move if you cut first. Not sure if it truly makes a difference but it has worked for me for thousands of pieces I have made. |
