I like AA2230, H335 and TAC powders for normal 55 and 62 gr. loads (and I have lots of it) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. I have all 4 of the Barnes manuals (I shoot alot of Barnes bullets in various rifles), and I can give you some load data when I return home from business in three days. |

you could please list what they have for the 53gr TSX and 36gr VG I would really appreciate it as well

TSX and found TAC gave some very erratic velocities with extreme spreads well into three digits which it also seems to do with Armscor 62 gr. FMJ's. I finally settled on AA2460 although W748 gave great results as well. The test rifle was a CZ 527 and Wolf SRM primers. As a side note, TAC worked very well with 64 gr. Winchester PP's. |

Thanks for all the replies. I called Barnes today and talked to a fellow named Brian (I think) He was very knowledgeable and will mail me all the data that Barnes has for these bullets.
On a side note, I think there may be about 10 guys in the universe whose knowledge of reloading approaches mine, but the Barnes tech guy came real close

With the 62gr bullet I had awesome results with 25.0gr of Varget. (I know this isn't a powder you listed, but still..) Like 2800 FPS from a 16" barrel and really nice groups at 100 yards. It was consistent and ran really nicely.

Thanks for the reply s. I will actually go with the varget, I just found some at a local shop tody, along with some BL-C2. Now to start developing a deer load by November..

I just produced a batch using the 62 gr. TSX and Varget in loads of 23.5, 24.0, 24.5, & 25.0 and tried them out this morning in my BCM 16" 1:7 middy. The 23.5 gr. loads produced 2 - 2 1/2" groups, and it just got worse from there as the powder was increased. I'm hoping that I did something wrong and can figure it out because I have a bunch of the TSX and really, really want to try them out on hogs (or a whitetail if I get within 100 yds. of one) this year. At the same time we tried out the 85 gr. TSX loads my son and I made for his .243 Savage 110, and got 1/2" groups out of most of the lot. |

It was consistent and ran really nicely. Add me to the list of people that found this load to work VERY well. I have tried it in a 1/9 and a 1/7 AR, both posted really tight groups. Got 2800 FPS from 16" of barrel as well, just like everybody else. |
