Holy Hell! Why in the flip would you want that anywhere near your spacesuit in zero G while in space? If you HAD to cut something, seems like they've give you a retractable box cutter, or some kind of hook, safety knife.

They fired the cannon after the final disembarking of the station. The aiming was so crude they actually used the station's thrust ers as vectors.
The cannon shook the station to bus in a few shots. Cosmonauts are not astronauts. |

In terms of a space knife, I think a D handle trench knife with an DA OTF blade would be the ideal.
D handle allows easy retention with bulky gloves, automatic blade extraction/retraction keeps the blade covered until it's needed, then immedieately retracted when not to minimize risk. |
