I was just looking up stuff about it, had it since the 90's and saw a mention that there was a trick to taking it apart to clean it out.

I can't seem to find anything on line about the actual trick.
it is a molded rubber outside so there are no visible pins.
I tried to peel the rubber back but that doesn't seem to work without tools.
I pried off the end near the fold on one side, but I don't think it was supposed to come off like that because it doesn't fit back. Just the very end came loose.
I don't want to have to rig the panels back on so thought I would see if someone here knew.

case emailed me back. they didn't have instructions but showed me a picture.
apparently one side is hinged and can be pull up parallel with the blade exposing the inside so both sides can be cleaned.
