I realize this is subjective, everyone likes what they like.

Since the SCAR 17 likes to chew up scopes and electronics, how about lights ?

I’m right handed using a sling.  I could just mount a TLR-1 to the left 9 o’clock rail but the sling hits the back of the TLR-1 rocker switch.

I’m afraid it will turn it on when I don’t need it or off when I do.


I don’t like tape switches, so I am looking at the gen 2 inforce weapon light.


Before I do, I would like to hear what .mil guys think and/or what you use which works.  

I’m trying not to spend a lot of $$ on trial & error.

I may have already solved it.  

I like my light at the 9 o'clock position but I just placed it on the 3 o'clock position and lined it up with my VFG.   It works with my left thumb nicely.

I just ordered a coyote brown TLR-1 HL and will place it there.
