Ive got an unused spikes lower that is registered as an SBR....the rifle has been parted out for some time so now I need to build something fresh. Ive already got another registered SBR lower in 556 that is an 11.5". Ive also got a registered SBR lower that is a dedicated 9mm and have a USC/UMP conversion in .45. I do shoot some 6.8spc.....but I dont hand load. What should I build on this SBR lower.....6.8spc, dedicated 22lr, another 556 like an Mk18 or something?

MRP Upper for it? You could run a 10.5" 5.56 upper, a Spike's .22lr custom barrel, or 6.8...

I started with a Spike's lower and added a Spike's 7.5" Concussion V2 upper with a DD rail and WL SS barrel. It runs great and I tend to shoot it alot.

Next suggestion - I am going to get a 10.5" upper and am considering Spike's again or Noveske. I have a M4-2000 supressor and do not want to risk it on anything under 10.5". Those are my suggestions if you decide to go with another 556. Of course a 6.8 upper would be nice too....

Then if I were you, I would go 6.8. I am following the same path it seems.

Since you already have something in a .20 and a .30 caliber...how about a .50?

I'm gonna vote on the "dedicated" .22lr. I built a SBR 10.5 in 5.56 but recently the lower has been used mainly for .22lr and now the 5.56 upper is getting lonely again so a dedicated .22lr lower is in my future... Cheaper to shoot, very indoor range friendly, etc...

I'm gonna vote 10" 458 socom with subsonics and a can....b/c at 1000 FPS, 600 grain bullets are still cool...

(oh yeah and I have SBR's in 9mm, 45, 7.62x39, 5.56 and 22 LR and I'm just waiting on the 458 paperwork to start experimenting....)

+1 on ScottMO's .22LR vote. He inspired me to build my own Spike's 5.5" dedicated .22LR upper, and it is a HOOT to shoot! With my 22Sparrow on there, at 100 yards you can hear the bullet slapping the target or the dirt. It's really cool. New shooters also love the lightweight, quiet design. Did I mention you can shoot all day for $50?

I strongly recommend you look into .22LR

Yup......22lr is at the top of my list. As to the 458 socom......i dont reload and ive already got an SRT arms 77/44 and can buy subsonic 44mag (albeit kinda pricy). Im going to wait for the 300 blackout deal to pan out and get factory ammo available before I jump in there.......im will have one someday.
