We just bought one straight from distribution for a future sound test comparison.  It was very dirty brand new.  Like someone shot maybe 30 rounds through it.  The can, with the muzzle device also purchased (comparable options) cost about double the cost of our Recce 5, so I'd imagine the 30 rounds is part of the double cost you pay for one.  Probably payroll for the guy to shoot the 30 rounds, and load the magazine and stuff too.

So don't worry about it, your dealer didn't joyride your can.
