Does anyone have a link that shows differences between the M14 and the M1A?  As you may recall one the old AR15 site we had pictures showing all the differences between the AR15 and the M-16.
Thanks

Well the only real differences that I'm aware of are the M14 had a forged receiver whereas the M1A's is cast, and the M14 had a lug for the selector or lock under the rear of the receiver, and the M1A doesn't. Take the selector or lock off an M14 and it's visually indistinguishable from an M1A, as long as you can't read the stampings.

The M1A doesn't have a connector. At least, when I followed the GI fieldstrip procedure, the connector was mentioned, but as far as I could tell it ain't got one. :)
