I know I'm in the wrong place for this, but I stumbled on a few of these AK's. What are they worth.

Info; Circa 1992, Chinese made, pistol grip, 2 30 round black magazines, chambered in 7.62x39.

Pleae help.

the ban that first affected imports was in 1989 so they're not really prebans if made in 1992.  It's possible they are post 89's with US parts installed to make them pistol grip legal, though...

Real pre 89's run from $600 to $1200 depending upon model and condition.

Post 1989s run from $200 up.

That's a good point about Campybob.  It's a little known fact that Campybob was actually born at the Izhmash factory in Siberia.  It's true he's half AK and has 7.62X39 rounds for teeth.  His mother realized he was no ordinary boy and dropped him on a conveyor belt and shipped to the US to give us all good advice on the Kalishnikov.  You'll do yourself a favor to ask him for advice, he knows his shit.  He's basically on every forum topic regarding AK's.  Good luck.

You paid $800 for a rifle worth maybe $350-400?

First of all, I'd be real carefull about this. MAKE SURE it has enough US parts to comply with the law. If of course it was imported after 1989.

Anyway, I wouldn't pay more than $450 for it. Less if it has a bit of wear on it.
