I was shooting my a.r. a few weeks ago with a friend of mine and we both had the same malfunction with our rifles, the round failed to extract I was wondering if this might have been because i was using the wrong lube we both had been using break free c.l.p. the air temp was around 25 degres should we be using a cold weather lube for that temp?

I was out the other day at -8F (seemed colder) using Break-Free with no problems so I doubt it was the lube.  Not sure where to steer you on the problem but I can cross that off the list.
Good luck
