I went to the Tanner gun show today. Damn, was I unpleasantly surprised at the prices on ALL mags. I had seen a few times on this site, that people were paying $10. for used USGI at gun shows. They were all around $20. and up to $60. for new ones. I saw new Thermolds for $24. and AK waffle mags around $25. To me, this seems really high, please jump in and tell me what mags are going for in your area, at an actual show (I am aware of what I can them for on the net)

Gun Shows as a rule are not going to have deals on mags. They are usually higher in price because most show dealers think if your looking for mags at a show you have no access to the net or catalog sales and they will take advantage of that.Don't get me wrong I have seen good deals on mags occasionally at shows but usually they are higher in price than what you can find here.

NIW USGI mags are running $22-$28 each I would say.
Used USGI depending on the finish $10-$17 each

Thermolds are going between $20-$25 now but a few months ago $15-$17 was normal but they are going up in price.

USGI 20rd mags are usually more than the 30rd mags. NIW 20rd are going for $26-$35 each and used ones between $17-$26

I know what you mean. At the show today, some guy was trying to sell used Adventure mags that had NO finish for $15 a pop.
But I don' t really care what they look like. For now, 6 is enough. (all straight from the armory, with new followers and springs, thanks to cash sales post bans!!!)

Typically what Beagle said is true.  Some people really don't have internet access or look in Shotgun News.  So to them these high prices ARE good prices.

try this one on for size, at one I went to today, a dealer had I'd say about a 90-85 percent preban oly M-4gery and wanted $2500 for it, but hey he'd give me a deal since it's christmas for the low, low cost of $2000!

Dallas shows:

NIW USGI 30rd $22-$35
Used USGI 30rd $15-$25
Used USGI 20rd $ 25-$40
New thermold 30 $20-$30
Used Orlite 30 $10-$20

It varies widely depending on the dealer.  I founf most dealers who had NIW USGI 30's were asking $30-$35  but then I found one, who had a ton, who was moving them for $22 a pop... and his were sanchez with the green followers too.

Gun show are only for certain things, and here is the list; easily availible comercial guns, ammo, beef jerky and bullshit stuff like siver jewelry, beanie babies and weird crap, over priced preban weapons, and a place to victimize individual gun sellers walking around. Tell me if I left out something.

Big smelly guys in camo, trying to convice everyone who will listen that they singlehandedly saved/killed more people than they can count in vietnam. Even though the afforementioned 'smelly guy' is obviously only in his mid 30's.
