Mine would have to be
1. Ruger Mini-14 2. Any 1911 type pistol 3. S&W 39-2 4. Llama 9mm 5. Hi-point 9mm carbine |
CZ-50/70 series pistol..
Mine were accurate, and reliable as long as I did not shoot them myself.. Otherwise my hold, which is fine with a full sized auto tended to drag my right thumb against the slide, and induce stoppages..Also .32 ACP is as expensive as 1911 Ball.. I sold mine for what I had in em.. They never failed as a design flaw, they just did not fit me as a weapon.. Meplat |

S&W

Hi-Point ?????????????????
I love my Hi-Point 9mm Carbine. I wouldn't buy any: 1) Marlin .22 Semi-Auto. I had nothing but trouble from my Marlin 989-M2 2) Savage Model 58 Shotgun. Had Terrible Extractors and wouldn't properly extract some Shells. |
Intratec .22 It is like the famous Tec-9, but in .22 caliber. Damn near jammed every other round and two of the clips broke.
why is that? i would say any ruger centerfire rifle, mine sucked ass. also, never an oddball like 25-06. the round was good, it was expensive. for that price i could have been shooting some exotic 7.62 |
i love my hipoint carbine also! I'll put it up against any special weapons 9mm anyday! |
That D@mn useless Mini. Maybe the wife will take a shine to it. "Oh no Honey, it's real accurate. You just need more practice."
Colt Double Eagle .45 ACP - the miserable piece of sh!+ would rarely feed a full clip thru without jamming! - and this was with factory loads
Finnbear out |
I had myself two nice 1911 once a Springfield and A Colt they where both new gun's got them out of the box one was a Colt XS series the other Springfield M1911-A1. They would jam all the time on me and they just did not like JHP ammo I spent about $650 for both and put in about $400 worth of work in to both of the gun's and they still would jam all the time and would not take JHP ammo. Now I can't say anything about any of the other 1911 out there but I will never buy a 1911 ever. The Hi-point I just did not like the way it shoot and handled. |

LMAO!!!! My mini was about 10 MOA accurate. A buddy of mine has one that's better, but still not as good as my worst AR barrel. |
Dang Gus! Now I'm jealous - you got one of the accurate ones!
anything made my Lorcin.
Smith & Wesson shotguns. Llama pistols enamel finished CZ-75; they peel. the CZ-75 itself is good though. would have to refinish in satin nickel. Colt series 80 1911's. except the Combat Elite FN HI-POWER. the Hungarian versions are much cheaper and better because of thier slide stop and safty having slightly wider grip surface. accuracy is 'bout same. AR-15 parts kit gun from M&A parts. this is probably the worst place to order AR-15 parts from. i had to replace nearly all critical parts. Mossberg 590; i just simply like the 870 more. it has a much better feel to it. |
Yep! It was so accurate I turned around and sold it within a month. My old beat up Sheridan air rifle was more accurate at 100 yards! Only problem is it wouldn't hardly punch through paper at that distance. It was kinda worn out. |
Smith auto, Colt ar (unless it was a green lable) Ruger auto pistol(except there 22's) I like my mini14 (Of course its a little tricked out) dosen't group so well but it always go's bang. Its late can't think
Mini 30
auto ordnace 45 I got it nib I took it out 3 rnd the slide flew down range the slide was defective!!!! I felt about 2 feet tall.I also had one of those great tec 22. but I loved the mag in my 10 22, so ya I paid 125 for a 25 rnd hi cap |

Anything by American Derringer.
Their double-action derringer would fail to fire about 10% of the time -- a firing pin (it had two, one for each barrel) just wouldn't bother to hit the primer. On top of that, they didn't actually ship me a new gun, they sent one that had a second number marked on it -- a few years later, I found out that the second marking was probably a police evidence number, and so the gun was not merely used, it had probably been used in a crime at some point in its history! Their "pen gun" in .25ACP was so flimsy that it visibly began to get bent after only two or three rounds -- the parts just didn't fit together quite the way they did before firing. Also, the design was so clumsy that it was useless as anything but a show-off toy. I never should have bought either. The FFL who sold them to me (and who later stole a deposit from me) originally showed me one of their derringers which happened to have no rifling cut into the barrel. He hadn't noticed. If I'd taken it, BATF probably would have thrown me in prison for possession of a sawed-off shotgun. |

Finnbear---Re the Double Eagle. I have a full size and an officers.
The only problem I had with feeding was with the officers when federal changed the shape of the hydrashok the round would hang about 1 out of 10 going in. After much looking and thought I noticed that the top of the chanber was rough, like 6000 grit paper, and there was a lot of copper color up there. I hit it with a dremel white pad and polish, and I have not had a problem since. (on the officers you have to change the sprine every 500 or so, so watch that) You may want to look at the chamber to see if Colt's QC came through on your chamber, too. |
I'd buy everything I ever bought, Rugers rifles, and pistols, Springfield 1911 A1. Love the feel and it shoots everything, Colt AR 6731, Armalite AR10 A4, Remington 700, I love em all, Remington, Winchester shotguns. Yep, there really isn't one that I absolutely wouldn't buy.[-=(_)=-}

Sterlings, Targas, FIEs, RGs, Llamas, Ermas, Security industries .357s...just to name a few of my "never again" old list of handguns. Tec 22s, BHPs and CZs have also joined that list.
Universal M1 carbine.
Made from cast potmetal, just like a hotwheels car. We nicknamed it "Bang Bang Jam" because it never ran. Anything in 9mm. |
Anything in the SigPro line. They need to do some more research on these puppies. I'll stick to always-go-boom-glocks for now.
Tanfoglio pistols, Smiths, Ruger autos or rifles, AutoOrd or Colt 1911s.
Semper Fi! Ken Little |

Looks like the Ruger Mini is the most popular gun that people wouldn't buy again. I just wonder why most bought one in the first place. I bought mine in a fit of stupidity right before the '94 AW ban.
The A-Team was like a commercial for the Mini-14. Of course, they could never hit anything with one, that's truth in advertising. |
1) Mini-14
Guns I wish I hadn't sold. 1) MAK-90 2) Norinco SKS 3) USGI Carbine |
Taurus PT-111. The only gun I couldn't hit shit with at any range. It worked okay, but the trigger pull was so damn heavy that I all but 4 times hit so far to the right I was once accused of shooting at the wrong target!!!
I did give my mini-14 away, 6 inch groups at 50 really sucks! Unfortunately I gave it to my Dad and am having a very hard time trying to convince him to sell it and by a real rifle, like a SAR-2 (no AR 'cuz he wants something in-expensive) Sorry guys, but I kinda like my Ruger,P-95. It is accurate enough, and absolutely, completely reliable. I like my Glocks better, but still. Different strokes for different folks I guess. |
I shot a pistol at the range once that had one of those damned half-cock triggers where you have to pull the trigger half-way back to release a safety. I would never buy one after that. I wonder how effective they would be in a SHTF situation. A friend of mine sold his TEC-9 in 1994 just before the AW Ban. He said it was a complete piece of crap. I told him later he should have kept it until '95 or later then he could have sold it as a Pre-Ban. But hindsight is always 20/20.
This is what I don't understand. If these are such great handguns, why do gunsmiths have to offer "reliablity packages" for 1911's???? I always hear people getting their .45s either ramped or throated or both. They should work right out of the damn box. |
This looks like a Ford vs. Chevy question. Different ideas from different people except that noone wants a Yugo (Llama or Mini-14). To each his own.
I'm in agreement on:
1. any S & W Sigma 2. Universal M1 carbine I pity da fool that bought them. |
Ruger Mini 14-WHAT was I thinking??
Colt M1911 A1. Bang, Jam, JAMjamjam BANGJAM. Pretty soon, with both Colt and MecGar magazines, it would jam 8 times running. No, I was not limp wristing it, it jammed on my dad too. I sold it, bought a USP9F which doesn't jam, even when I droped it and it filled up with sand. I just racked the slide and shook it. Ran another 75 rounds through. No more Colts, no more Rugers, not just because they failed their politics stink too. Juggernaut |
Mac 11 carbine.
Maybe it was the magazine's fault, but the damn thing literally had a "retaining washer" (not what the part is actually called, but the little ring that holds the takedown pin in place) blow off after the SECOND shot. After fixing that problem it still fed wrong, and ended up lodging a shell casing sideways inside the action. Did I mention this was during the guns inagural firing after being bought brand new? |
Can you tell me why? I am puzzled because I have a 21 and the Mrs. has a 19 and they are incredibly accurate, and have never, ever failed and I know we have set 20 boxes of ammo through them if we have sent a box... |
PS - don't want another 1911! Don't want another one.... no matter WHO customizes that POS! You fossiles can keep that relic!
I shot the best of them at Uncle Sugar's expence. Got tired of them plenty quick when better European designs were brought out! Quicker, as reliable, more accurate without extensive modifiction.... and even offered in hi-cap! Imagine that! DaMan |
Interesting Note: Mini-14s are used along with AR-15s in some of America's Federal Prisons. I ownder what would happen if the had to use them. I guess thats what the ARs are for.
