I saw it in their "Gunsmithy" portion of the catalog some years ago when Ted Yost was still on board and thought it would be a great general purpose rifle and I have since built one for myself.
Basically a lever action 30-30 (or .35 rem, or 45-70) with a scout scope, beveled edges, ammo carrier and sling, that the action has been tuned on and in some cases better sights.
For mine I used a pre-64 Model 94 Winchester as the base gun.  It's handy, carries 6 rounds and 6 in reserve and doesn't offend anyone.  The scout scope gives me an extra 100 yards over open sights and is still pretty fast on target in all terrain.
Ashley Outdoors is now making scout mounts for the Marlin 336 and 45-70.  I used a Burris mount and rings for mine that replace the rear sight.
Anybody else playing with one of these???

Never played with one, but used to see them in the Gunsite catalog and thought they were a cool idea. I had a Marlin 336CS in .30-30 that was fun as all getout to shoot, and accurate as crap to boot.

I had one of these a long time ago.Mine had an original redfield mount I belive. It was the only way to mount a scope on a 94 then.I built mine when Cooper started talking about the Remingtong 600 scout. This was when I was in high school.I'm left handed and eyed so I used a lever.I found a tang saftey 308 99 Savage.I was going to make one out of it but sold it.I wish I had it back.As soon as I sold it Ashley came out with there mounts.I just couldn't fiqure out a low sturdy mount with that stepped barrel. Here is what I have now.
