I saw it in their "Gunsmithy" portion of the catalog some years ago when Ted Yost was still on board and thought it would be a great general purpose rifle and I have since built one for myself.
Basically a lever action 30-30 (or .35 rem, or 45-70) with a scout scope, beveled edges, ammo carrier and sling, that the action has been tuned on and in some cases better sights.
For mine I used a pre-64 Model 94 Winchester as the base gun. It's handy, carries 6 rounds and 6 in reserve and doesn't offend anyone. The scout scope gives me an extra 100 yards over open sights and is still pretty fast on target in all terrain.
Ashley Outdoors is now making scout mounts for the Marlin 336 and 45-70. I used a Burris mount and rings for mine that replace the rear sight.
Anybody else playing with one of these???
