I purchased my first marlin 336 in 30-30, made in the mid 70s, for $250. It was in good shape when I got it, but I reblued it anyway.

I picked up a '78 produced 336 late last year in terrific shape for $250 as well. One of the best buys in rifles.

I used to pick up used scoped ones in the $150-200 range right after hunting season every year down here. Those days are gone, but I still routinely see them in the $250+/- range.

About $250 plain, $275 and up if scoped depending on scope.

like everyone else said, depends; I just picked up a 100yr anniversary model in 30-30 w/matching Marlin scope (scope now for sale) for $350 in very good condition.
Guy had 3 or 4 others for slightly less. Also had a Glenfield 30-30 for $250. (River City Armory in Red Rock-Bastrop County-outside Austin) |
