I have a Remington 270 BDL .270 that has the single most craptacular trigger I have ever shot. It's worse than my cheap chinese air rifle.

anyway,  I would like to replace the trigger.  Will any Rem trigger work on it or do I need to use lefty trigger only?

M700 triggers are easy to adjust, or get a Timney replacement trigger, and have a good gunsmith adjust/install.

I think you'd need a LH trigger, because of the safety position.

But I'd only replace it if I couldn't adjust it to my liking or was going to use it for serious competition.

it's a hunting rifle,  so I don't need match accuracy.  it's just so bad I'm wondering if it's fixable.  seriously it's like a bungie cord tied to a cinder-block dragging across gravel.

or worse.

just buy a rifle basix trigger

I have a remington 700 long action in 7mm, left hand. had the same problem.

the rifle basix trigger is nice and adjustable, I have a 3 pd pull now. it's great.

also buy the agi gunsmithing video, it helps when installing the trigger, which I thought was a bit tricky. though I am no gunsmith either.

works great now.
