HK G3 ,closely followed by the FAL.
The M1A is a fine rifle ,and most are more accurate
than the other 2 .
Until you heat up all 3.Really heat them up.
That's when the G3 shines.
There's quite a few reasons why foreign countries
chose the HK or the FAL instead. We chose the M1A
because it was made here .An American rifle, with little
retooling needed.
Of the HK and FAL,
the FAL came first, and over 100 countries adopted it as their
MBR.
The HK-G3 came out years afterward.
Around half of the countries that originally adopted the FAL
switched to the HK G3 and ditched the FAL.
That means half of those countries thought it was worth the $$$$
to switch over their armed forces to the HK,and half did not.
We all know that the FAL can be equipped with a last shot bolt catch,
and the HK can not.
Most consider this the largest + of the FAL.
Almost half of those countries that kept the FAL ,disabled
the last shot bolt catch because of dependability issues .
The AR-10 is not even a consideration for me.What parts ? Where ?
