Went off.  Damn those nasty thinking guns.  Couldn't be that the idiot thought he was dry firing it, but neglected to check the chamber for a live round.  It's too bad the guy has already contaminated the gene pool...

Great. Like the state legislature needs a convenient excuse for a gun-control scheme. What is it with idiots who always manage to be holding a gun right when it happens to "just go off" while being pointed at someone other than themselves? Coinkidink?

Self-elimination would've served the public's interest & spared an unnecessary loss of life.

How stupid! The man had been drinking and playing with a loaded gun, a deadly combination if I ever seen one. I guess it take all kinds. Drinking and driving don't mix, neither does handling load firearms.
