Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Question about mounting optics on flat-tops...

I was wondering if it was best to mount the rings directly to the base itself or if I should use a base such as the RRA and the Armalite. I tried mounting the scope from my slug gun on my Flat-top, but it just didn't feel right. Any advice would be appreciated.

armalite makes a nice scope mount also look at b-squared
