I finally decided to go full auto tonight.  I have a 1971 Chevelle SS that needs about another $3500-5000 to complete the restoration.  Well, that ain't gonna happen this summer and I need a new toy.  I will be posting an ad for it tomorrow asking $5000.  The money will be diverted directly to my machinegun fund!  I can always get another Chevelle SS...besides I really want a '70 SS.

Good call on your part. Not a big demand for 71's. Now if it was a 67 or 70 SS I'd have to bitch slap you.

She's the real deal.  It was originally LS5 454 car w/ Cowl Induction.  Now it has a .030 over 1969 396ci 350HP.  The coolest part of the motor are the 1966 closed chamber heads.  Not too many of those floating around.  With the over bore its actually 402.  As far as demand goes, there were less than 20,000 1971 SS Chevelles compared to the 55,000 and something 70's.  Most people prefer the 4 unit headlight design, but from what I've seen the 71's don't stay for sale too long, especially during the summer like all other muscle cars.

My first car was a light blue 67 chevelle ss with a 396 (375 hp 4 bolt main). Black interior and no a/c.  That car was bad. I Bought it used in 76 for $450. It was basically stock with a turbo 400 automatic and 4.11 posi. I could break them loose in when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. It would run in the 14s stock.

I have a 1970 Chevelle Malibu. Just brought it home from my storage biulding today. Don't know if I want to spend the money to restore it. Around here you can totally restore a car, but you'll never get the money out of it when you go to sell. Sad really. I hate Ohio

Mr. Hemi, go stick a 528 Hemi crate in your car...oh I'm sorry was that price tag $16,000 for that motor
Just messin w/ ya.  I wouldn't mind a 1970 Charger R/T, but the 1970 SS Chevelle is most definately first.
