If the letters are raised, it's cast. If they are engraved into the receiver then it is forged.
Check the fence around the mag release. If the vertical fence passes the horizontal fence and tapers off into the magwell, it is forged. If the vertical fence stops at the horizontal fence, it is cast. My PWA is forged. Hope this helps |

All PWA lowers are made from forgings.
