Guys, so I have had an AR for about a year now but really have only used it for blasting and having fun.  When the 2002 LEGP (DCM config) gets here I want to start taking shooting more seriously.  First off what do you recommend for break in on the new barrel.  I don't want to get too crazy but I feel like I should do this right.

Also I had my AR on a steady diet of Winchester white box, UMC, and Federal.  For the new rifle I am willing too invest a little more in the ammo.  I'm not quite ready to get into reloading so I am thinking of getting some Black Hills ammo from GPSS.  Any recomedation of a 'general purpose' target cartridge?  Should I go with new or is remanufactured ok?

Thanks guys.

I have had very good results with the Black Hills blue box (remanufactured) 68 gr. hollow points.
