Were there ever pre ban hi caps made for the HK USP 40 compact? These would have been 12 rnd. Just wondering.

Yes, but there were none that were legally imported or manufactured here in the US before the '94 ban was enacted.

Interesting, thanks for the info.
Do you have the source of this info? I would like to look into this a bit more. I don't doubt you just wondering.
Also, how much do LEO mags run for the HK USP's?
I guess I'll be getting some.

Not sure about USP compact mags, but I can tell you that the standard USP40 13rnd mags for LEO are about $29.00 each (Or at least they were when I saw them)

I think the last time I saw USP 40 hicaps at a gunshow (preban) they were like 90 bucks. I didn't figure it was worth it for 3 whole extra rounds.

He is correct. The Compact series of guns came out after 9/94, so no preban standard caps were ever produced. The one's that are out there are probably illegally imported or stolen from HK.
You can try www.hkpro.com for more info. Try doing a search on the boards there, or look in the "World of HK" for the USP Compact area.
