Cerakote doesn't lend itself well to fades and gradients because it can/will leave a rough texture if an area is not fully covered. This is why Duracoat is so popular with the airbrush crowd. Cerakote doesn't recommend using air brushes with their product because the dry lines don't melt into the basecoat. I've always wondered if a matte clearcoat might not help with that issue. I have heard that "C" Series is a little more forgiving as far as dry lines go. Durability takes a hit though.
