Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - How to remove demist shield? *got it*

I did a search and can’t find anything.

Everything online suggests it snaps in but it feels solid.

Afraid to try to force it out. I used alcohol and lens paper on it and fubared it. Is about 5 years old and has fine scratches on it anyway from dust. I’ve always used a dry tissue but had a brain fart this time.

This is a demist correct?

Just pop it out from one side.  They snap in and out

Thanks for the confirmation.  I wrapped a flathead with some electrical tape and torqued it out.  It felt solid and I wasn't sure that was the demist or part of something crucial.
