Sorry ladies, I’m currently in Amsterdam not enjoying myself. Apparently there’s this ITAR thing that wouldn’t let me bring my kids.

It’s actually pretty hard to get TTL pics with the Skeet.
Hard to explain but the rear ocular of clip ons, UTM/T-50/Skeet/Etc, because the image appears “far”
I’ll see what I can do.

Since other ppl are “busy” in Amsterdam, here’s some quick ones.
I’ll try again later tonight.

2.5x thru IpotatoAttachment Attached File

Best pic of this very bad representation.

Edit: I’m pretty sure this pic is taken thru the same Skeet.

Yeah, thanks for nothing Horta-  left us hanging for weeks. Those pics are enough to inform me that viewing through the device must be damn near magical.

That’s a damn handsome man in that last pic. If only I could be so lucky.

Thanks for covering, Playa! It is very difficult to get TTL pics through the Skeet that look remotely representative of what it looks like with the naked eye. That damn battery cover makes it nearly impossible to physically attach most eyepiece adapters. The iPotato does an admirable job, but still falls short. I ordered a $700 telescope attachment rig from B&H just for this project and it arrived while I’ve been away. Using a Canon 1Dx MKII mated to a Canon 85mm f/1.2L lens with the new “universal” camera adapter should provide the optimal quality and work with each device in the (eventually) forthcoming comparo.

I’ll be in Europe for another 12 days having a terrible time.

I was actually just talking to a friend this evening (6’5” gentleman) , saying it seems the tall guys (regardless of other attributes or, the lack there of) seem to get ladies with ease. You have that covered. ;)
I gotta work for and “play” to get em.

Lol. You just hypnotize the hunneys with your crazy eyeballs.

I can’t get the one woman I’ve had for the last 30 years to leave. Apparently she takes the “I like a challenge” thing to the extreme.

I've decided Horta and I can be friends due to him being just fucking amazing.

I'm going to shot show next year and if you're there we should hang out. @tnvc I'm gonna talk mad shit and I hope we can do lunch at a strip club together with the dudes from photonis so I can bust Ben's balls for not replying to my emails.

That’s the most accurate representation of what it looks like through the SkeetIR-X I’ve yet to see.

Now imagine looking through dual X’s and seeing that in genuine 3D.

How does it compare to the Pixels on Target VooDoo-S Clip-On Thermal Sight?  The spec sheets say it has a pixel pitch of 12 µm where as the SkeetIR-x has 17 µm.  The smaller the pixel pitch the better right?

The smaller the pixel size, the newer, but not necessarily better. If fact, if all other things were equal (and they’re not), a larger pixel size would actually be superior.

That said, I’d love to compare the VooDoo to the Skeet.

has anyone else been able to test the poi shift in clip on, if any at all?  Maybe can someone do a 100 yard test?
Link Posted: 10/1/2019 7:26:03 PM EDT
[#44]
I put the SkeetIR X on my Anschutz to see what sort of POI shift I got in front of a day scope.

This is 3 shots off the tripod at 50 yards. No Skeetir

3 with the Skeetir installed. Now if you don’t have these targets just right it can be hard to see an aiming point. It was a little difficult this evening and the group opened up as you would imagine. This rifle will literally shoot bugholes, so I know it is not having a very distinct aiming point. Otherwise, for what it is, my unit didn’t have a terrible amount of shift. Distance was 50 yards FWIW.

THX AGAIN UNV
