Anyone ever run or try an otal c on a handgun?  I know it is not proper for a handgun, and the laser is going to be pretty off from the bore, but in a pinch (saving for a Surefire x400v or dbal-pl) could one work for some night time shooting?

Thanks Gents.

I don't have mine in front of me, and I'll look when I get home, but I'm fairly sure that unless you're talking about an AR15 "pistol" it's not going to fit on a handgun.

Edit:  I was wrong.  It will fit on a number of handguns.  Doesn't make it a good idea though. The switching will be kind of goofy unless you can find a good way to route the wire and mount the tape switch.  You won't find a holster for it either.

I'd just save up a few more bucks and get a real pistol ir laser, or even better yet, a red dot for passive aiming use.

A customer of mine was using his on a suppressed 22 pistol for chasing varmints at night. He had it zeroed to paralel to bore so it was always aimed an inch low to point of impact.
