I'd like to ship a M-10 to Practical Solutions for some tweaking, upgrades and re-park. Is FedEx the only option if I decide to ship it myself.  Appreciate input. Thanks.

Some porn. Here it is in the 9mm Lage Mk2 config.

USPS Registered Mail. Insures up to 50k. It is slow but it is safe

My understanding is that USPS won't ship a sub-gun, only large MGs. If it's concealable it can't be shipped. Is that accurate?

Yea I ran into this problem a few years ago. I shipped my gun to Sam registered mail, it was right when they changed it and he had to return it to me via fed ex.

I'm wondering if I send it with the Max-31 upper and the fixed stock if it will meet their cut line as non-concealable?

Hand delivery is the method I would use

I'm going to ship mine out to Lage and I'm thinking Fedex overnight priority would be the safest.

The problem, as I understand it with FedEx, is that they treat Class 3 weapons as "antiques and collectables" and only insure up to $1k.

Why don't you get firearms insurance through a third party like collectors insurance or eastern... then you don't need to worry about the postal insurance on anything and you're always covered.

I always find it interesting when people are worried about fedex losing their package yet are not concerned about the value of the item in the trunk of the car or sitting in a safe at home built out of kindle and a box of matches.

Do you have a local dealer? The concealable stipulation does not apply if the sender is a dealer :)
