How many rounds is a AR-15 receiver good for?
Can you "rebuild or reforge a receiver?
Will BATF let you serial # a new receiver and then destroy the worn out one?

A registered reciever is expensive and I am sure that many of you have delt with these issues.

Its extremely expensive to wear out a modern firearm by shooting it. I wouldnt worry about using it up

No, the BATF will not allow you to replace an NFA lower with a new one. You can have damage or wear repaired though.

As far as wearing one out, there are rental M16's out there with over a million rounds through them and still going.
