So a coworker decided that he didn't want his father's old hunting rifle around the house anymore. He gave it to me. Free is always a great price. Turns out it is a Remington Model 8 in .35 Rem. Serial number indicates it was made in Sept-Oct 1920. Overall very nice for its age. Appears that the gentlemen took it apart, and lost some of the screws. It is stamped with the old Remington UMC logo on the buttplate and lower tang. The safety lever is also broken, but I figure it could be replaced, as well as the other parts. I love old guns.
