Sarco had some repros a while back.
Gun parts might have some. I got my PE scope for $25. They guy didn't know what it was. Too bad I don't have a real sniper for it to go on. |

You rarely find any deals on the replicas either.
This whole collector thing is starting to be a big money operation. Kind of like the early days of baseball cards and comic books or beanie babies.<G> Dennis Jenkins

There were some 3.5x17 scopes that were about $100 and designed to fit the same place, but they have disappeared from several sites over the summer. Reviews on those and the repro mounts are scarce.
I've been using a scout mounted pistol scope, and a $50 Darrell's mount, see forum low on milsurpshooter.net |

Here's an article that details how to build a replica of the Mosin sniper rifle. They used a scope that is a similar size and style as the old school scope.

Never mind, just noticed that the bolt isnt a turn down
 nor are the bolts on standard Mosins
