It looks silly but I can't wait to shoot it. I'm not a big fan of leaf sights so I got some tech sights.

Function is always greater than form.

I think it looks pretty cool

Not silly, a bit large for the rifle but if they work who's gonna complain.

Also +1 on function > form

I'm sure they'll grow on me.  Probably won't even care after I get them zeroed this weekend. I'll come back and let you guys know what I think after I shoot with them.

A microdot would have looked better.  I have techsights on my SKS and they are great.  I agree they are ugly on a 10-22.

Yep you sure did.

looks good!

just needs a dovetail filler so you can remove the rear factory sight and fill in the slot.

The black sights do stick out like a sore thumb, but who cares. Tech sights are awesome. I actually had them on my 22" stainless 10-22 before they went on my M1 carbine 10-22 project

Here are my tech sights. Regardless of what anyone says, I dont think they look ugly on my 10-22

I just couldn't get over the hugeness of them.
I just put a set of these on a 10/22 I bought a week or so ago.

Added a Hogue stock and homebrew trigger job and I'm happy.

That is a good looking stick. If the company that made those stocks would ever start making them in Walnut and without the leaf sight cut out on the top, I swear I'd have to build one up!

My mamma used to say, "silly is, what silly does."  I'm sure they're way better than stock irons, which doesn't sound silly to me.  They make it look practical.

With that long barrel-sight radius, that setup should be very accurate.
Me I think it looks just fine.

Not my cup of tea, but it does not look silly.

I have seriously been thinking of buying one of the M1 stocks. How do you like the quality? I was afraid it would be some cheap, soft wood.

I personaly wouldn't have gone this route but hey if it works for you, that is all that matters.

Also, it really doesn't look silly either.

Went out and shot it on Friday.  I don't care how it looks anymore.  I'm way more accurate with those than the stock rear leaf. Definitely recommend these to anyone in the market for new iron sights.

I thought it but I knew you would find out. My Tech Sights made a big difference on my 10/22.

Only thing in that pic that looks silly in my opininon is the factory rear sight. On all my 10/22s I tap out the rear sight and replace it with a blank. A lot of people just leave the rear sight but it really bugs me. YMMV.

Man , that does look silly.  Better send it tom me for proper disposal.

I don't dress my gun up like a Barbie Doll like some folks, so I think it's great!

Good...   a buddy of mine has those on his 10/22.     It's fun to shoot.

Looks like I need to explore more options on my sights and stocks for my 10/22... Love the M1 carbine look... Winchester? lol ... As for the sights it looks like a better, longer sight radius... should be more accurate. As for the targets you hit? they are not gona say "Hey!, you are not using the factory sights!" I bet you chew up full soda cans, water bottles, clay pidgeons, chicken eggs, and small balloons out to 300 yards or better. cool.

Mine is like that...   where can you get blanks?

MidwayUSA has them for fairly cheap. Look up Marble blank 3/8" dovetail. There are like six bucks. You do have to file them a bit to fit right. It's what I did to mine:

Nice gun, they look a lot better on black guns.  SS makes the sights stick out a bit more.

ttam281 - is that a factory barrel?  It looks longer than normal.
