I'm starting a new thread for this instead of clogging up the Pic thread.


I'm looking for a soft armor carrier for EDC at work. It needs to have the velcro on front and back for company identification, and NO BUCKLES on the sides. I currently have a TAG Aggressor that I wear every day, but I don't like the buckles on the sides. When I sit in a vehicle, the buckles flip my safety back and forth on my sidearm, and they inhibit draw from a seated position.

Yep, just 2 pistol mags. I've tried to get my boss to let me wear my pistol on my chest, but he says it's "too tactical" and won't allow it (even though me and another mil guy wear our MOLLE kits).



Anyway, I liked the design of the Blackhawk STRIKE, but I've heard nothing but bad reviews from you guys on it, so that's out. I need that style/cut for my Level 3 armor, and the smooth sides for a smoother seated draw. Also needs to come in BLACK.

The TAG vest you have is the best I could find myself, it's what I got.  Safariland/ABA and Gatorhawk both make decent carriers that fit what you want.

I sent an email to TT to see if they can help me out. I don't necessarily want to pay for a custom carrier for department issued armor, but I suppose it's an option.



If I were up walking through the desert all day, the TAG I have would be great, but I don't. I'm in and out of a vehicle all day for 10hrs, unless I'm the driver.

That's cut for a 10x12" plate backer size... not full coverage concealable soft armor like the OP is looking for.
