It suppresses fine for me. I have pretty bad hearing loss so my goal is to cut the bark down but I'll always plan on using ear pro. There is a noticable difference between the AUG and a DI A1R15 but it's not huge. Sort of like suppressing an AK.

And no, I haven't gotten a hold of the gas plug yet sadly. Hopefully soon I can find one.

Congrats on the belt!

I would highly recommend staging the cat with the strap back on the side of the windlass clip. Not something you want to have to manipulate should the need arise for a tq.

If you are hard pressed for time, just a sturdy belt, couple pistol mags and an OWB holster will hold you over.

Esstac 1.75" belt
Esstac Kywi pouches 1x 556,1x (556 + 2x 9mm)
Esstac Med pouch
Safariland holster

BTW I'm retarded and the med pouch has a belt pass-through I missed when taking this picture.

So those Kywi belt loops aren't necessary on the med pouch.

Going through two gun crazes in a couple of months hasn't made it easy to build the lightweight belt discussed a couple pages ago, but I'm working on it.

Added the Safariland 2x pistol mag and 1x AR mag today. The pistol mag carrier was tiiiiight (apparently made for the P226/229 and not 320, although I thought it was compatible). Rather than wait until 2025 for Safariland to fulfill an order, I tried to work the pouch myself. After using pliers and some 100 grit sandpaper, I said f*** it and removed the retention screw, and that was the trick.

Now to find a Safariland holster. Gonna first get an AIWB holster for the current setup, then an X300u/b and holster to swap for the war belt as needed. Safariland does not offer an OWB holster for the P320 compact + XC1.

Changed up my belt setup a bit. Main goal was to make this as minimal as possible while still having all of the essentials. Everything else is on my plate carrier.

The Snake Eater liner belt is a game-changer. If you haven’t heard of this thing, check it out. Super lightweight and SUPER thin.

- SOE 1.75” D-Ring Cobra Belt (loop lined)
- Snake Eater Tactical Hypalon Hook Liner Belt
- Soileater Belt Mounted Tourniquet Holder
- UBL Mid-Ride w/ Grave Solutions Teardrop to bring the thigh strap down, so it’s not crushing my nutsack all the time (see photos).
- Currently running a T-Rex Ragnarok holster but I have a QVO Secondary on order to replace it.
- Blue Force Gear Micro Trauma Kit, Advanced
- Blue Force Gear Micro Dump Pouch
- Esstac Shorty 2+1

depends on how you grab and then insert the mag.

I do a "beer can" grip with the AR mags, so I do bullets facing rear, and it comes right up and into the gun. For handguns, I grab them as more of a "pinch" grip, so bullets forward puts them in the right place for mag changes.

On my vest I do bullets facing right, since I pull those out with a similar pinch grip.

So try it both ways and see what feels natural to you.

Are you guys wearing these battle belts with a plate carrier or in lieu of one?

If you are combining them with a PC are the suspenders uncomfortable?

I have always wanted a "gun belt" instead of a holster on my pants belt, but after looking through the last several paged all I have now are more questions.

I see some nice set ups here, what im looking to do is carry my P229, a few mags for it, maybe a few more AR mag pouches, and maybe a molle first aid kit.

I use both.

My belt has an inner belt which holds your pants up and am outer which you attach stuff to. No suspenders needed.

I think you're thinking of a chest rig.

No, im thinking of a pistol belt. I though some of the belts on the previous pages were pistol belts, but maybe they were chest rigs.

Older stuff had suspenders. New stuff usually does not. I can combine my belt and wear a PC or just run the belt. The 2 piece combo is the best option these days. That is, inner and outer belt. MOLLE sleeves are starting to die out in favor of lighter lower-profile belts.

The big knife is gone. After ditching the M3X for a X300U I needed a new holster, and the knife was too prone of getting in the way of my draw. I'll probably end up ditching the current IFAK for something more compact and may get a folder to put in the area the IFAK currently sits.

Agree with stoner.

Beer can grip for rifle mags (boolits pointed backward)

Pointer/index finger riding upright on front face of pistol mag (boolits forward) to guide the mag up into the magwell.

Old Setup:

New Setup:

Picked up an Eagle Industries Operator belt for their 25% off fathers day sale. Still waiting on the inner belt to come in this week. So far I like it a lot. I thought it would be hard to replace the Esstac belt as that thing is great, super stiff. But the Eagle is right up there in quality as well.

Still need to put the timer back on, get a dump pouch, and find a good small pouch for a Surefire EDC2L-T light up front. Also debating on swapping out the STOMP for a coyote tan one when they come back in stock.

Anyone got a good pouch recommendation for the surefire 2 cell flashlight like the EDC2L-T? I hear HSGI pistol pouch may hold it well.

I put it together as a rifleman's hot weather "patrol" rig.  It's basically a modernized spin on the old ALICE LBE.  Doesn't really meet the 1st line criteria most in this thread use but it's still a belt rig

The idea was for it to be a way to carry the rifleman's essentials without a lot of stuff on a vest.  Could be used alone or with a slick plate carrier.  Mainly just did it for fun since I don't do any patrolling anymore .

Wore it around in the woods today to test it out and I'm pretty impressed.  Not nearly as heavy feeling as you might think.  Way more comfortable than the LC-2 stuff I had in OSUT.

The list of components is as follows:

Belt- BAE Eclipse padded assault belt
H Harness- Mayflower/Velocity Systems
Mag Pouches- BAE Eclipse 6 mag (x2)
Canteen carriers- Eagle Industries Canteen/GP (x2)
Buttpack- Mayflower/Velocity Systems

All of the stuff is Ranger Green.

That belt is just what I'm looking for to test the battle belt water. Huge adjustment range, which everything else I've checked out lacks. The price is compelling as well.

you fellas that are running Esstac Kywis for pistol/AR, how are you attaching it to your molle belts? I havent gotten my molle belt in yet, but i ran them with the WTFix strips on a EDC gun belt. the mag carrier was kind of loose on my belt.

is there something a little more rigid? i dont want any slop between the belt and the mag carriers.

I have the WTFix straps on my pistol and AR mag pouches an it holds them tight to the belt.  It was quite a hassle to get them on.

WTF straps are for Molle, but you'd probably be better served by these on a belt.
