Need some help. I ordered an Esstac 1.75" belt with some mag holders, Im looking for a decent, non serpa holster for my G19. Any leads that arent 6 week+ lead time or out of stock?

 Attached FileGoing through two gun crazes in a couple of months hasn't made it easy to build the lightweight belt discussed a couple pages ago, but I'm working on it. Added the Safariland 2x pistol mag and 1x AR mag today. The pistol mag carrier was tiiiiight (apparently made for the P226/229 and not 320, although I thought it was compatible). Rather than wait until 2025 for Safariland to fulfill an order, I tried to work the pouch myself. After using pliers and some 100 grit sandpaper, I said f*** it and removed the retention screw, and that was the trick. Now to find a Safariland holster. Gonna first get an AIWB holster for the current setup, then an X300u/b and holster to swap for the war belt as needed. Safariland does not offer an OWB holster for the P320 compact + XC1. |

Changed up my belt setup a bit. Main goal was to make this as minimal as possible while still having all of the essentials. Everything else is on my plate carrier.
The Snake Eater liner belt is a game-changer. If you haven’t heard of this thing, check it out. I do a "beer can" grip with the AR mags, so I do bullets facing rear, and it comes right up and into the gun. For handguns, I grab them as more of a "pinch" grip, so bullets forward puts them in the right place for mag changes. On my vest I do bullets facing right, since I pull those out with a similar pinch grip. So try it both ways and see what feels natural to you. |

Are you guys wearing these battle belts with a plate carrier or in lieu of one?
If you are combining them with a PC are the suspenders uncomfortable? I have always wanted a "gun belt" instead of a holster on my pants belt, but after looking through the last several paged all I have now are more questions.  I see some nice set ups here, what im looking to do is carry my P229, a few mags for it, maybe a few more AR mag pouches, and maybe a molle first aid kit. |

Older stuff had suspenders. New stuff usually does not. I can combine my belt and wear a PC or just run the belt. The 2 piece combo is the best option these days. That is, inner and outer belt. MOLLE sleeves are starting to die out in favor of lighter lower-profile belts. |

A plate carrier is primarily for holding hard armor plates onto your body. Secondarily may be load carriage (mags, radios...). If you're using a plate carrier without plates you're taking the hard road. A battle belt is really just a goofy overly tactical term for a modern pistol belt, akin to an LE duty belt. Obviously it is a different piece of gear than a plate carrier as it doesn't hold hard armor over your vitals. Belt before anything else. Whether it's a CCW setup with a stiff belt, carry holster, and a couple mag pouches, OR a MOLLE belt with a retention holster, pistol and rifle reload, and IFAK is up to you. This is the basic gear you need whether you're walking your property or going to a basic rifle/pistol class to develop your shooting skills IMO a pistol belt should be minimal in what you choose to carry. While many people try to carry full combat and sustainment loads on their waist the belt isn't generally conducive to this. Make holes, patch holes. A stripped down belt is awesome for your pistol and maybe a rifle speed reload.if you need more than you can easily plus that up by adding a chart rig. Considering most of this gear will be used at the range when a holster is needed, there's no reason not to set up a good belt and then add a PC as needed. If you think through the amount of gear you need, and honestly it shouldn't be much at all, there's little reason to bother with suspenders. One AR mag really is plenty on a belt. They're heavy and if you need more than your speed reload, plus up with a chest rig.

The big knife is gone. After ditching the M3X for a X300U I needed a new holster, and the knife was too prone of getting in the way of my draw. I'll probably end up ditching the current IFAK for something more compact and may get a folder to put in the area the IFAK currently sits.

Beer can grip for rifle mags (boolits pointed backward) Pointer/index finger riding upright on front face of pistol mag (boolits forward) to guide the mag up into the magwell. |

Old Setup:
 New Setup:  Picked up an Eagle Industries Operator belt for their 25% off fathers day sale. Still waiting on the inner belt to come in this week. So far I like it a lot. I thought it would be hard to replace the Esstac belt as that thing is great, super stiff. But the Eagle is right up there in quality as well. Still need to put the timer back on, get a dump pouch, and find a good small pouch for a Surefire EDC2L-T light up front. Also debating on swapping out the STOMP for a coyote tan one when they come back in stock. Anyone got a good pouch recommendation for the surefire 2 cell flashlight like the EDC2L-T? I hear HSGI pistol pouch may hold it well. |

That belt is just what I'm looking for to test the battle belt water. Huge adjustment range, which everything else I've checked out lacks. The price is compelling as well. |

you fellas that are running Esstac Kywis for pistol/AR, how are you attaching it to your molle belts? I havent gotten my molle belt in yet, but i ran them with the WTFix strips on a EDC gun belt. the mag carrier was kind of loose on my belt.
is there something a little more rigid? i dont want any slop between the belt and the mag carriers. |
