So wanting to add a semi-auto shotgun that is magazine feed to my arsenal!

I'm wanting one that is reliable and has hi-cap mags and drums! Don't want an American-made pump that has mags! I want a true semi-auto shotgun that only foreign companies have made!!

Not that I'd not like Mossberg, Remington, or Benelli to make one but they don't!

I have found that only 12 ga ammo can even be found at stores so having another shotgun would be a nice add at these times!

He said: "hi-cap mags and drums"---not just "magazine".

Saiga 12

20-round drums are amusing.

Lynx 12 = a Chinese copy of the Saiga 12. It uses all Saiga 12 parts / mags.

Love mine. 100% reliable with everything I feed it to include cheap Walmart Bulk Packs.

So you don't have problems with it at all? Maybe it's because I'm looking at pistol style?

Mine works fantastically. Does have a bit of recoil with the short stock.

The ChiComs nailed it with the Lynx 12.  Its 100% reliable out of the box and doesn't command collector prices like the Saigas which are no longer imported.  I love mine, and use the SDS 10 round mags that I got from Atlantic Firearms.

I want that with a 12” barrel and under folding stock. Maybe even a 10” barrel and cool looking muzzle device.

You should be able to chop one to 12.5” without having to relocate the gas block.

I could totally see getting a stamp to shorten the barrel.

Underfolders aren't much fun to shoot with though.

Back when Romanian G kits came with their original barrels and were cheap (under $100) I made one into an UF, just to remind myself how much I dislike shooting UF AKs.

There was a "pistol" or shotgun version of these out there by Klashnikov USA - Komrad 12:
https://centerfiresystems.com/product/kalashnikov-usa-ks-12-komrad-black-12-gauge-12.50-3-51-sb-tactical-sba3-pistol-brace-stock#product_detail

I recall them being pricey in normal times.

An underfolding stock on a Saiga-12 SBS would look great (i'd like to see that!)- but I agree with others it wouldn't be comfortable - But if its a range fun gun - why not?

Many Saiga's seem to prefer to run higher powered loads especially in SBS form - so keep in mind you won't be likely shooting walmart bulk light loads that are easier on the shoulder.

I think the Lynx is the best value in AK shotguns right now and if you do the math - $500 for lynx +$200 NFA stamp = less than K-USA "non-NFA firearm"

I like K-USA - and love my KP-9 - like their products its just that the market offers a decent competitive product in the Lynx (My opinion)  The current price for one is not way out of line with what some firearms are going for.  When Mossbergs are going for $300+ a Lynx at $500 seems very reasonable.

11-87, browning A5...

Firearms comprehension!

That tube thing under the barrel is a magazine.

I believe the distinction you wanted to make is "removable box magazine".

I just bought this one at the LGS, I've already put about 300 or so rounds through it... It eats anything I've put in it except for some really cheap winchester birdshot that was lower than 1200fps... A few of the rounds failed to eject fully but anything over 1200fps just ran right through it.

If I could find one locally I would love to get my hands on a Vepr12 and if money was no object one of those Dissident Arms competition shotguns would be cool to own.

My son had one of these. 1000 rounds through it. It was reliable, and very compact.

Came with 2 box mags, we got a 20 round drum for it.

Also Joe always says buy a shotgun. Only need 2 negligent blasts off your balcony.

Not in your title.   Why don’t you fix that reading comprehension?

Guys, let’s not antagonize each other. We’re all here for the love of the shotgun.

Yes, using “detachable box magazine” may have been more specific. We all recognize that the tube is the magazine.

I like the looks of the Black Aces semi-auto bullpup. But after my contributions in the Benelli M4 clone thread I need to take a break from buying shotgun stuff for a bit. Would have spent less money just buying one of those for sure, ha.

Here is the JTS M12AK-T1 last night testing out the 10 round mags that just came in. I was shooting Winchester AA 1300 fps #8’s and threw some Federal 00 flight control down range too. It functioned great!

I'm wanting to stick more with a AR style but can go towards AK style.

I'd really like one like the komrad 12 ga yet more reliable!

so far mine has been very reliable, i have had a couple hick-ups with lower FPS cheap ammo. But it does seem to be cycling them better the more I shoot it. There are a couple of good channels on youtube that follow this brand of shotgun. Here's a link to Whisper Tactical.

JTS M12AK 4000 rounds later PT#1 SHOOTING...(PT#2 cleaning, field stripping, & lubing coming soon)

JTS makes an AR version of this shotgun that looks really cool, but there are mixed reviews on it. if I found one locally I would buy it to see for myself but there isn't much of anything available in Alaska right now.

JTS AR12 First 350 (does it compare to my ak12???)

in the video he has a lot of trouble cycling low brass in the M12AR but eventually discovers the stock was loose, it had a lot of fouling for the plastic shotshells and in reading in the comments people are saying the 5 round mags they came with aren't as reliable as the 10 rounders.
