After the fact I was told the super mag does not to like to cycle 2 3/4" shells , any experience with this ? mine cycles them just fine...the cycling of a pump is all user operation. Don't short stroke it and you are gtg. |

I've seen two different super mag 870's have problems cycling, we never paid any attention to what shells did it.

Mine has eaten anything and everything I have ever fed it. Stroke it with authority and you are good to go with any length shells.

I only have two Super Mags and both eat EVERYTHING they're fed... never an issue.

I've had a super mag for a little over a decade. The only thing I've shot were 2 3/4's and it's been perfect.

All I have fired in mine are 2 3/4". No problems, except the chamber is a little tight and it doesn't like my friend's unsized reloads. All factory new shells, and sized reloads work great.
