Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - 1100 bolt handle

I have an 1100 with a Choate Bolt handle.  If I remove it, it slides into soft cases as slick as snot, but am I damaging anything by storing / transporting it with the handle removed?  Obviously there is the chance of loss, but other than that, is there any reason this is a bad idea?

Nope, since the handle is just detent retained, and there is very little chance of wearing out the handle detent notch.
