Don't buy the Remington... go to WW Granger and buy a 1 1/8 x 1/16 Buna O ring same thing.. or send me a SASE and I will send you one. they cost all of .15 ea and the parts houses will charge you 4.00+shipping ea!

I have had my 1100 for over 25 years keep it clean and it won't let you down. I just swap out the o ring every year.

Thanks for the offer. I had ordered a couple of o-rings last year from Rem but they were grey instead of black. I wondered if they had shipped the wrong one. Turns out it must be the right one.

Can I get an o-ring of that spec at other places besides Grainger? Is there any other special requirement such as the "buna" ?

Grainer, or any supply house. Just make sure it will stand up to oil. Never had one fail!
