Is it overkill to use an EOtech or Bushnell holosight on a shotgun?  Or should I go with Ghost Rings?  I have the small bead currently.  I intend on using the mossy for trap and skeet a little as well.  One more - do the ghost rings require installation by a gunsmith?

If you plan to use it for trap and skeet then you need nothing but the bead. Any other sight will just distract you. When pointing a shotgun to hit moving targets the bead is the front sight and your eye is the rear sight. MIKE.

The rear sight bolts right down to the existing drilled and tapped holes on the receiver.  The front sight needs to be soldered on.  Thats the only thing that may require a gunsmith.
