Well, I bought a Sig P229R from a friend a while back and it did not shoot well for me, so I traded it to a member here for a Kimber Compact Stainless II.  This is my first 1911 and my initial impressions are very good.  Take down is not as hard as I thought it would be, and the fit and finish are great.  I was wanting a full size for competition, but figured for a straight up trade, I made out well.  What do you think?

Crappy cell picture.

Should I trade this for a full size?  I know that people around here don't care for Kimber, but I think this was a fair trade and I'm excited to finally have a 1911.  How'd I do?
