I have seen a few over the years but have never spoken with an owner of one.
Does anybody have experience with these pistols?
What is the consensus on quality and reliability?
Any info would be appreciated.

At this point they are more of a collecter item than a shooter most likely

Good in thier day, way out-classed by today's stuff. A collectable now.

I might be able to get a pristine LNIB Raider for $600.00.
Is this a good deal?

The Randall had problems with galling, between the slide and the frame, due to the stainless steel in both parts being too similar.

I believe that Randall was the first manufacturer to make a left-handed 1911, which would make those collector items.

For $600 for a decent 1911 that is a neat piece of history, I'd say go for it.
