I'm building a rimfire 1911 (Advantage Arms upper with a Caspian lower).
My question is, would a beavertail grip safety be more for looks considering the negligible recoil of a .22?

Or can a .22 1911 hammer bite your hand the same way a true .45 can?

you won't notice it so much in recoil but if you do get hammer bit then you'll want on your 22 build
